To make The Balvenie DoubleWood multi year old single malt whisky Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE came back to one of his most praised accomplishments – sequential development in two unique sorts of barrel, a procedure regularly alluded to as ‘container wrapping up’.

This system is at the core of The Balvenie DoubleWood – it sees the whisky developed first in American oak barrels, which confer delicate sweet vanilla notes, previously being exchanged to European oak sherry containers, where the second container maturing includes rich zesty flavors and a profundity and totality of flavor.

The DoubleWood multi year old is a senior kin to DoubleWood multi year old and offers its sweet, hot qualities, however it is particularly extraordinary, with more profound vanilla notes, insights of green apple, smooth toffee and a striking lavishness and multifaceted nature.
