Oloroso-loving Head Distiller Chris Thomson snapped up two Australian Oloroso-style casks from Seppeltsfield, hand-selected to finish a combination of ex-Sherry and ex-peated Port single malts from out Coal River Valley Distillery. The result is an intoxicating combination of toasted pastries and subtle peat smoke with a classic Oloroso finish, melting into warm butter and slowly browning bread…the unmistakable aromas that waft outside your local bakehouse in the early moments of the morning.
