Cask Number HH0314FS | 18 YO | 47.3% abv | 700ml
Special Cask Edition #9, HH0314FS, was aged for 17 years in a single 200-litre, first fill American Oak ex-Bourbon cask, before being finished in a French Oak ex Apera cask, for a total age of 18 years. After such a long maturation this cask yielded a mere 157 bottles at 47.3% abv. This whisky is the first finishing cask ever to be released by Sullivans Cove under the Special Cask label.

The Special Cask label is reserved for our rarest whiskies. One of a kind releases that don’t fall into our usual French or American Oak styles, these whiskies must also have exceptional scores from our tasting panel and represent the heights of what Sullivans Cove can achieve. Each Special Cask release will be different, and only one or two casks will be released each year. These might be wine barrels, virgin oak, refills, or something else entirely, but if it’s got a green label, you can be sure you’re getting something unique and incredibly special.
